Materials Our primary services include hauling of top soil, lime, gravel, sand, stone, asphalt and miscellaneous aggregates.

There are many different types of aggregate materials used in construction. Everything from limestone, sand, and gravel, to recycled concrete. Each type of material has different properties and is suited for specific purposes. We have posted some of the most common types of materials that Bridges Bros. works with, but there are many other materials that we handle that are not listed here.     Limestone

  • #2 Crushed Limestone

    2 1/2" crushed stone is commonly used as a base for driveways.

  • #4 Crushed Limestone

    1 1/2" crushed stone is commonly used for drainage, driveway base, and around pond edges.

  • #57 Crushed Limestone

    3/4" stone available in buff, white or blue is commonly used as driveway gravel with heavy traffic, landscaping, drainage (french drains), septic systems, foundation backfill and as a base for concrete sidewalks, concrete driveways, and patios.

  • #8 Crushed Limestone

    3/8" stone available in buff, white, or blue. Commonly used for driveways, drainage, and crawl spaces.


     


  • #411 Crusher Run Limestone

    #411 Crusher Run is 3/4" down to dust and is commonly used as a base for driveways or walkways, road base, or for unfinished barn floors.

  • #304 Crusher Run Limestone

    #304 Crusher Run is about 2" down to dust and is commonly used as a base material for driveways or building pads.

  • Ag-Lime

    Ag-Lime is a fine limestone commonly used for livestock bedding and to mix in soil to reduce acidity.


  • Riprap and Screening

  • Type C Riprap

    Type C Riprap is 12"x18" and is commonly used around lakes, rivers, and other waterways to protect the banks from erosion.

  • Type D Riprap

    Type D Riprap is 3"x6" and is commonly used around lakes, rivers, and other waterways to protect the banks from erosion.

  • #703-10/Screenings

    Screenings are commonly used for paving blocks, base for concrete pavers, and horse arenas.


  • Topsoil and Gravel

    #57 Gravel is 3/4" gravel and is commonly used for filter beds, septic systems, drainage tiles, & gardens. 

  • #8 Pea Gravel

    #8 Pea Gravel is 3/8" pea gravel and is commonly used for patios, pond beaches, and play grounds. 

  • Topsoil (when available)

    Screened topsoil is used for seeding lawns, under sod, and gardens.

    Concrete Sand is a coarse sand and is commonly used for mixing with cement, cattle bedding, and for septic systems.

  • Mason Sand

    Mason Sand is a fine sand commonly to mix with concrete & martar for laying blocks, bricks & stone.

  • Filter Sand

    Filter Sand may be used for septic systems and mixing with concrete.
